About Web-Scrapers.com

Who runs Web-Scrapers.com, how the site is funded, and why every review is written from hands-on testing rather than vendor marketing.

Published 2 min read

Web-Scrapers.com is an independent review and solutions site for web scraping infrastructure: proxy networks, unblocking tools, and scraping APIs. We publish hands-on reviews with transparent ratings, head-to-head comparisons, and working code tutorials in Python, PHP, Node.js, and Rust.

Why this site exists

Choosing scraping infrastructure is hard to do from vendor marketing alone. Every provider claims the largest network, the highest success rate, and the best price. The only way to cut through that is to open accounts, run real requests, read the actual pricing pages, and write down what happened — so that's what we do.

How we're funded

This site earns money through disclosed affiliate partnerships. Some links on this site — always marked as sponsored and styled distinctly — pay us a commission if you sign up. Two rules keep that honest:

  1. Ratings are recorded before affiliate links are added. The score comes from the evaluation, never the other way around.
  2. A provider cannot pay to change a review. There are no sponsored reviews, no paid placements in rankings, and no "premium listing" tier.

We also run standard display advertising in clearly labelled slots. Advertisers have no input into editorial content.
